The Vine Hotel

Hotel The Vine is a brand new, 5 star, luxury member of the Design Hotels. It is situated on the island of Madeira, located in the historic centre of the capital city, Funchal, with restaurants and shopping just a short walk away. With architecture by Ricardo Bofill and interior decoration by Nini Andrade Silva, it is a modern building with a lot of attention to design, and, as its name suggests, significantly themed around the production and appreciation of wine.
Innovative, eclectic and unconventional are some of ways to describe the interiors of Nini Andrade Silva, as she conceived this project as a conjunction of both modern and natural elements, with a desire to incorporate comfort and well-being, as well as the cultural roots and traditions of the island.
The production of grapes and wine, embodied by representations of the four seasons formed the thematic background to the furnishings, lighting and ambience of the various public spaces. This is most evident in the palette of greens, greys, purples and browns that colour the bedrooms as well as the reception areas.

If I started all over again, I wouldn't think twice to hire Atelier Nini Andrade Silva again.
