Hilton Porto Gaia Hotel

The concept of the Hilton Porto Gaia Hotel's interior design project is based on principles related to the wine universe and the Douro Wine Region.

With a sober ambience, as we walk through the hotel, we come across huge spatial areas and exclusive design details that make the whole space unique! This is, for example, the case of the scenic environment created to the reception area, framed by large wooden barrels used for the wine conservation and maturation. Offering comfort and a feeling of welcome, the hotel's lounge area features a large fireplace that transforms the entire environment.

The minimal design and strong sense of avant-garde are also the indelible mark of the restaurant for 240 people, whose lightness of proportions is suggested by the introduction of carved elements. The same symbology will be used in the auditorium area, creating an allusion to the history of Porto Wine.

The common areas of the Hotel suggest a striking contrast between the warm colors of the wine and the softer tones of green, velvet and brown leather notes. Unequivocally, and reflecting the grandeur of the social areas, the 143 rooms and 51 suites were designed in soft gray tones with photographs from the Alto Douro Wine Region.

The club area can be functionally used for breakfast or exclusive events and at night, having the versatility of a special restaurant with a privileged view of the Douro River.

With a language always marked by the same theme, in the SPA we designed a swimming pool that will resemble a large wine tank.
